It has been a fantastic couple of weeks for the Partnerships for Peace Coalition; new partners joining every day and making their commitment to#Goal17 and partnering with other organizations around the world for PeaceDay.
Goal 17 of the #GlobalGoals aims to “strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development”. We can only achieve our goals if we work together in partnership – PeaceDay aims to create a moment of unity which partners can use as a catalyst for good. #KnowYourSDGs

What does volunteering mean to you?
And what did it offer to you in your life?
A question we asked ourselves in 2011, and every year we asked it, we found a new answer to it.
Volunteering as we know, is a non-paid work.
So, is every work for free considered as a volunteering work?! .. Of course not!
Volunteering is a work which you feel that you offered something to society, by doing this work, you were be able to build your life with; this work planted many values and principles in you.
From different personal experiences, volunteering planted strength, will, responsibility, participation, hope, love and peace in us.
Every year, we wait the festival with the same passion so that to develop this thing in us and reflect it to society.
So, we can summarize the whole topic in the following words:
Volunteering is a lifestyle.
This is the main hashtag for this year, we’ll work together on it to make it possible to reach the next generation of volunteers and people, and to be able to reach the meaning of volunteering and its real value.

بحضور عدد من متطوعين من سنوات مختلفة لمهرجان بغداد دار السلام وبالتحديد في حديقة ال أي كيو بيس سنتر, اقيمت الامسية الرمضانية السنوية للأعلان عن انطلاق تحضيرات المهرجان الثامن على التوالي
حيث تمثل الامسية الرمضانية فرصة جيدة لأعادة شمل المتطوعين من مختلف السنوات, مشاركة قصص نجاح المتطوعين في حياتهم اليومية والعملية للأخرين, مشاركة المعلومات المالية الكاملة للمهرجان, الأعلان عن الفكرة العامة الذي سوف يقوم المهرجان بتسليط الأضواء والعمل عليها في سنته الجديدة وايضا أطلاق الهاشتاك الجديد
تضمنت امسية هذه السنة فقرات موسيقية متعددة من قبل فرق سابقة في المهرجان وأيضا مواهب موسيقية في الساحة الموسيقية البغدادية
تخللها قصص نجاح لبنات و شباب المهرجان, معظم هذه القصص رواها الشباب للشباب لكي تكون الحافز على الاستمرارية والاصرار على الاهداف التي يضعونها لحياتهم
و شرح مفصل عن الأمور المالية للمهرجان السابق وألية صرف العائدات مع اعداد كاملة تفصيلية
أجواء بغدادية صيفية شبابية سادت الامسية ممزوجة بروحية السلام وحب الحياة في مدينة بغداد
و أختتمت الامسية بالأعلان رسميا عن أنطلاق تحضيرات مهرجان بغداد دار السلام لسنة 2018
وايضا
أطلاق الهاشتاك السنوي والذي سوف يركز على نشر و زرع وتأكيد القيم الحقيقية للعمل التطوعي
تمثل الهاشتاك ب 3 كلمات وهي

And the announcement of the beginning of Baghdad city of peace carnival preparations 2018
Thursday, 14th of June 2018
With the attendance of many volunteers from different years to “Baghdad, city of peace carnival”, and exactly in IQ Peace center’s garden, the Ramadhani evening was started to announce the beginning of preparations of the 8th edition of the carnival, respectively.
Whereas this Ramadhani evening represents a good chance to reclaim the volunteers from different years, share the whole financial information about the carnival, and to announce the general idea which the carnival is going to focus on and work for in this new year, and also, to start the new hashtag.
The evening of this year involved many musical shows, played by the previous bands of the carnival, also, some other talents from the Baghdadi musical arena also participated.
With stories of the young people’s success, were shared between the musical shows, most of these stories were told by young people to young people, to be a motive to continue and insist to approach their goals which they seek in their lives.
And a complete illustration of the financial issues of the previous carnival and the machinery of spending the efferent with complete illustrating numbers.
A summary, youth, Baghdadi atmosphere, mixed with peace spirit and love, filled the evening in Baghdad city.
The evening ended with officially announcing of the beginning of preparations of Baghdad city of peace carnival 2018.
With the start of the annual hashtag which will focus on spreading, anchoring, and ensuring the real morals of voluntary work.
The hashtag is:

– مؤسسين نادي بغداد للسينما –
في اجوائنا الحالية السينما مقتصرة على صالات العرض الموجودة هنا وهناك, عرض للأفلام فقط, وهذا شئ جيد بالتاكيد
لكن ثلاثة شباب من بغداد خريجين معهد الفنون الجميلة – قسم السينما والمسرح كانت طموحاتهم عابرة لهذه الاجواء,, حلموا بان يكون هناك سينما صيفية في الهواء الطلق, مع وجود ال(شامية) والمشروبات الغازية ومقاعد جلوس غير مألوفة لهواة ومحبين مشاهدة الافلام السينمائية ( ما بين اطارات السيارات المستعملة و (فرشات جلوس ارضية) و (حصاير) المشهورة في الاستخدام في الحدائق العراقية )
التحضيرات لهكذا حدث يحتاج الى دعم وايدي شبابية نشيطة, حيث ساعد 8 متطوعين (4 ذكور, 4 اناث) في ادارة الحدث سوية مع المؤسسين للنادي
تم افتتاح نادي بغداد للسينما في مساء يوم الجمعة 25 ايار 2018 في حديقة ال أي كيو بيس سنتر وبحضور ما يقارب 300 شابة وشاب و وكالات انباء محلية وشخصيات معروفة في الاوساط السينمائية العراقية
في اجواء بغدادية مسائية صافية وحضور مهتم في أحياء ثقافة السينما من جديد,, افتتح النادي بعزف مشترك ما بين عازف الساكسفون علي نضال وعازف الكيتار علاء صندوق
(الشامية) كما تسمى في بغداد كانت حاضرة طوال فترة عرض الفلم والذي استمر عرضه لمدة ناهزت الساعتان ونصف!
لافتات بسيطة مكتوبة يدويا اوضحت بشكل مبسط تاريخ صالات العرض السينمائية مثل (سينما أطلس التي افتتحت عام 1967 و سينما سميراميس في الخمسينيات في السعدون وغيرها) التي كانت فعالة في الماضي في بغداد
في نهاية اليوم اوضح أحد المؤسسين للنادي عن الخطط المسقبلية للنادي وعن الجدول الاسبوعي لعرض الافلام واكد على وجود وحضور للأفلام العراقية القصيرة والافلام السينمائية العراقية الكاملة في المستقبل في النادي وايضا عن وجود فرص تدريبية لصناعة محتوى السينما وحلقات نقاشية عن السينما العراقية وتاريخها

مهرجان بغداد دار السلام شريك رسمي مع يوم السلام العالمي لعام 2018

ولان شباب مهرجان بغداد دار السلام منذ اول فعالية لهم عام ٢٠١١ كانو يعلمون ان هدفهم بعيد وصعب التحقيق ولاسباب كثيرة لكنهم اليوم وهم يستعدون لمهرجانهم الثامن يدخلون اكبر تجمع من اجل السلام في العالم
“من السهل ان تكتب الشعارات لكن الافعال تحتاج الى كثير من العقل والصبر لتحقيق اهدافك بشكل منطقي وواعي

هكذا استقبل أحد اعضاء مهرجان بغداد دار السلام خبر انضمام المهرجان لاكبر تجمع للسلام في العالم لهذه السنة حيث يأتي هذا الانضمام نتيجة العلاقات الدولية المستمرة ما بين مهرجان بغداد دار السلام و الحركات العالمية الفعالة في بناء السلام

In country like IRAQ, its really hard to find a free & neutral space for daily activity, Volunteers groups, youth groups, initiatives, Music, art, dance, handmade, painting and startups, its hard to share your ideas, talents & passion with others because of our cultural diversity and our Iraqi culture in general, so WE initiated IQPeace Center to be a free space, youth hub & Peace center in downtown Baghdad.
Our social venture in one (yes, just one!) sentence is PEACE!

A place for handicrafts. free space for start Ups & New inventions. Youth hub for all Baghdadi Young dreamers and aspiring, a Customs place to share, learning, Experiences, Leadership. Simply place to develop humans.
